THE NEW STUDIO ALBUM "BLEED OUT" BY WITHIN TEMPTATION WILL BE RELEASED ON OCTOBER 20, 2023
The title track of the album addresses the plight of Iranian women who are fighting for their rights following the murder of Mahsa Amini in Iran. Sharon explains: "As a child, I lived in Yemen. My parents lived in several countries in the Middle East, and I often visited them when they were there. It’s a different world. Through my time there, I feel connected to this part of the world. I was incredibly impressed by the bravery of the young women there who burned their scarves, even though they knew they would be thrown in prison or worse - it’s heartbreaking."
Within Temptation, the renowned Dutch symphonic metal band, will once again captivate their fans on October 20, 2023, with their eighth studio album "Bleed Out".
"Bleed Out" represents a significant leap forward for the band. From contemporary, hard riffs to soaring melodies that showcase their symphonic roots, Within Temptation has created a sonic journey that blends various musical styles and thought-provoking themes. Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Within Temptation has shifted their focus from writing about personal emotions and societal issues to addressing global injustices, reflecting the turbulent state of the world in a way that other artists seem unable or unwilling to do. Singer Sharon den Adel explains: "The war in Ukraine has influenced us greatly. As artists, we are inspired by the world, and we have this platform. We are storytellers, and I think as human beings we should talk about these things."
This passionate and political focus is reflected in the intensity and hardness of the music, and the band has simultaneously ushered in a new era of musical experimentation and lyrical depth.
