Thematically, the album continues the path of the critically acclaimed album "Splid" from 2020, diving deeper into local traditions and legends. Guitarist Vidar Landa sums it up best: "On 'Endling' we tell the stories of the dying and extinct men and women of Norway. Old and new myths, culture, and rituals come to life - folklore that doesn't fit into the concept of a TV series. Vikings and trolls are something for television. This here is reality."
"As the sun set, at the time when the oxen were untied and followed the tracks of Rasmus Vardal, the marauders of rock rode again and shouted Kielland is dead, long live Kielland," the band emphasizes.
