The Chemnitz band Power Plush announces their debut EP "Vomiting Emotions" for September 17, 2021. The EP will be released on the label of their friends from the band BLOND. Indie pop-rock from Chemnitz with wonderful harmonies from multi-part vocals, constantly balancing between strength and softness. The first single "Smth Cool" has just been released.
Power Plush – consisting of three frontwomen with different characters: the punky one, the dreamy one, and the one who is always the rock in the surf. They are on a mission for indie pop-rock, or as they would call it, “power plush pop,” and are actively supported by drummer Nino.
The fact that the four of them came together is no coincidence but rather typical of Chemnitz: you get to know each other and support each other just to make things happen! This was also the case in the summer of 2019 when a matchmaking initiative from the circles of Bikini Kommando and BLOND led to the formation of the band, which was completed a year later with Nino. In the fall, their debut EP “Vomiting Emotions” will be released on Beton Klunker Tonträger, the label of the band BLOND.

Since Anja (bass), Maria (guitar), and Svenja (guitar) not only share the main vocals but also each write songs, a diverse and individual sound emerges with everything it needs and lots of wonderful harmonies from multi-part vocals, constantly in a balancing act to hit the sweet spot between strength and softness.
Starting a band during pandemic times is not exactly a safe bet, but safety ultimately remains an illusion, and so Power Plush sings “I wanna do something cool” in their first single release “Smth Cool” to describe their state of mind amidst uncertainties and confusions. Because what could be cooler than an indie pop-rock band from Chemnitz?
