Heaven Shall Burn, undoubtedly one of the most important and successful metal bands in Germany with international appeal, will release the ambitious double album "Of Truth And Sacrifice" on March 20, 2020, via Century Media. With "Protector" and "Weakness Leaving My Heart", the politically engaged and strong-willed band from Thuringia presents two new songs in an epic double video.
After a two-year break, the Thuringian metal band Heaven Shall Burn returns on March 20, 2020, with the double album "Of Truth And Sacrifice".

The double video, in which HSB singer Marcus Bischoff runs from one video to another, perfectly symbolizes the thematic framework of an album on which the traditionally strong-willed band addresses current social and political discourses. Heaven Shall Burn spans a wide arc on "Of Truth And Sacrifice" from personal losses in the quest for truth to the philosophical and societal components of these thematic complexes.
"I currently perceive that many people are quite happy to choose from various alternative truths because then they can opt for the version of the truth that has the least impact on their own lives," says Maik.
Of course, it is about alternative truths in the various filter bubbles of social and other media, about the division of society, the rise of right-wing movements, the climate crisis, and the dark sides of capitalism, globalization, and digitalization. Heaven Shall Burn tells of journalists who are murdered in the search for truth, as well as the attacks by the Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram on educational institutions and teaching staff in Nigeria, but also about the successes of the AFD right at the musicians' doorstep in their Thuringian homeland.
Engaging with Heaven Shall Burn and "Of Truth And Sacrifice" is, however, anything but a pure fan pleasure. This is underscored by an 80-minute film documentary released alongside the album, which the band has realized with director Ingo Schmoll. "My Green Heart in Dark Times" sheds light on the history of the band and its members, their motivations, and origins against the backdrop of the current album production.
The film tells the unique story of a very special band, which has now succeeded in creating a captivating monolith of an album with "Of Truth And Sacrifice".
