About ZLANG ZLUT
Zlang Zlut is a Basel-based rock duo consisting of electric cello/Moog Taurus pedals and drums/vocals. The members of the duo are cellist Beat Schneider and drummer/vocalist Fran Lorkovic. The band has been around since 2010.
Schneider and Lorkovic have known each other since the early 1990s, as members of the Phoenix Ensemble, a contemporary music ensemble. In June 2010, they founded ZLANG ZLUT. Shortly thereafter, the band recorded a 4-track EP titled "Take A Bow." This was followed by more concerts in German-speaking Switzerland. In 2012, work began on their first album, with Deezl Imhof at the controls in the Foolpark Studios in Lucerne. Later, the album was mixed and mastered by V.O. Pulver (Gurd, Poltergeist). "Zlang Zlut" was released in 2014 via the indie label "Czar Of Revelations" and received great acclaim from the press across Europe. Since then, the band has been touring intensively in Switzerland. Following the worldwide release of their debut album, Zlang Zlut toured Europe as the support act for US stoner rock legend "Karma To Burn," which led to the band subsequently headlining shows in France, Belgium, and Germany.
In August 2015, the band began recording their second album "Crossbow Kicks," which will see the light of day on February 5, 2016, via Czar Of Revelations.
