Together with students from the George Romero Film School, The Vacancy worked on their own film. The result is "Camp Massacre", a splatter film with a runtime of three-quarters of an hour. The musicians contributed several songs from their debut album "Heart Attack". Anyone who buys a CD or a T-shirt at a Vacancy concert will receive the DVD for free. Those who can't just fly to the USA can still watch the film at http://www.massacrefilms.com. It is offered as a Quicktime download or via a WMV stream, which can also be downloaded by looking into the source code.
And here's what the film is about: Six teenagers pack their bags and set off to spend a weekend full of alcohol and drug excesses, as well as wild sex, deep in the woods. Sounds like a good idea? Wrong! The members of The Vacancy have already been brutally murdered by a crazy killer. Now he is lurking in the woods. Will the teenagers make it out alive? Can the police catch the murderer before it's too late?
