EMERGENCY GATE have stood for sophisticated, heavily produced modern metal for years, balancing between a kick-ass sound and catchy hooks. The latter can also be said (please excuse the ridiculous transition) about the 90s Eurodance superstars HADDAWAY. And it is precisely this gentleman that EMERGENCY GATE have unearthed for a joint(!) re-recording of his hit 'What Is Love' (don't even pretend you don't know this song!). You can call it coincidence or fate, but on their flight home from the Midi Festivals in China, the Emergency Gate guys met Haddaway on the plane.
“Aren't you the band that covered ‘Rock me Amadeus’ by Falco?”
- “Uh, yeah, how about we make a track together?”
- “Sure, just give me a call”
Said and done, a few weeks later they met in the studio to record a heavy metal version of “What is Love”. To round off this CD, there are also two live tracks from the “You” release concert included. Available on the new EMERGENCY GATE EP "Remembrance (The Early Days)".
