TALCO:
On November 23, TALCO from Venice released their latest album "Gran Gala", which has become a force in the realm of Ska-Folk-World-Punkrock. To conclude their 20 concerts in Germany, they will once again perform in their "second home" cities of Hamburg & Berlin. They are joined by DISTEMPER from Moscow and BERLINSKI BEAT from Berlin, two bands that are more than just the usual support.
When one thinks of Venice, beautiful photos of the old town, canals, and gondolas come to mind, but rarely the working-class and industrial district of Maghera on the mainland, which is known in Italy for the largest worker uprisings in recent history – this is also the home of TALCO. With their blend of Ska, Punk, and Folk, along with politically and socially critical lyrics (which were also heavily influenced by Mano Chaos's first band Mano Negra), they have built a huge fanbase, especially in Germany, Spain, and Eastern Europe, away from the mainstream media, which many view with disbelief.
The Amazon Ska charts have been dominated by them since the release date, and the various fan videos for the song "St Pauli" have been clicked on YouTube nearly 1 million times. Now they are back in their strongholds Berlin and Hamburg to present their new album "Gran Gala", which lyrically revolves around the Berlusconi era in Italy and musically leaves almost no one sitting still in their chair!

DISTEMPER:
The band from Moscow can easily be described as the Russian counterpart to Talco! As a clearly anti-fascist band, they have not always made friends in their homeland, but they continue on their path undeterred. For them, Berlin is also a second home, and they have been seen on all sorts of stages, from unannounced secret shows in places like Supamolly and Schokoladen to Cassiopeia or even SO36. Always with them is their band mascot, a dancing dog.
BERLINSKI BEAT (only in Berlin):
A Polish bagpiper, a German tuba player, a Czech trumpeter, a singer from the bloodline of a true gypsy king, a DJ from Bosnia, West and East Berlin drummers and percussionists – an explosive mix of street music, club sounds, and Berlin charm tells of the smell of the big city, wild nights, Berlin girls, retired belly dancers, and sets a fire under your behind.
laut.de: "The capital collective BerlinskiBeat operates in a manner so far outside any conventions that all promotional attempts would have to fail miserably if it were up to the commercial pattern."
