As if summer had been waiting for its opening sounds, the captivating track “Oh Boy” by the Swiss-German duo was released on June 29. As irresistible and enchanting as the woman described in the song (“her lips make the cherries and the berries and the apples look pale - she could ask anything you would do anything no matter what you would obey”), the combination of lyrics, melody, and rhythm draws you in. Even live, the song proved to be a crowd favorite during the completely sold-out spring tour.
With their debut album “Mutual Friends” in tow, which has remained in the Top 100 of the German Media Control Album Charts since its release in September 2011, the celebrated musicians of BOY are touring through the expanses of Europe this summer. In mid-June, their album will also be released in the UK and the Benelux countries. Their appearances include the prestigious Dermot O'Leary's Show (BBC 2) and Joanne Good (BBC Radio London), as well as the Great Escape Festival and their first official shows in London, Amsterdam, and Paris, before their festival season kicks off with performances at the Southside and Hurricane Festivals.
The BOYtel is packed, the bells are ringing, the journey into another colorful summer begins.
