RADIO HAVANNA
- Video premiere for "Die Zeit rennt" criticizes overtime burnout and mandatory pension insurance for the self-employed
- Tour update! Many new release shows and festivals confirmed
- Free song: "Flüstern, Rufen, Schreien (feat. Justin Sane / Anti Flag)"
With "Die Zeit rennt", the Berlin political punks RADIO HAVANNA present the first video from their new album "Alerta", the theme of which could not be more current. In the clip, the quartet criticizes the enormous pressure of time and money that is currently piling up on young employees and the self-employed. They demand: "Those who talk about work must not remain silent about time!"
The idea for the video is based on experiences in their personal environment: "Many of our friends work independently - the planned mandatory pension insurance and the associated additional costs pose existential financial problems for them. The intervention also shows that the state no longer trusts its citizens to manage their affairs responsibly - we want to work, but not under such a foreign-directed misguidance. Shitting, toiling, and resting in peace is not an option for us," states bassist Oliver Saal.
At the same time, RADIO HAVANNA lament sad fates within the family: "There are relatives who have toiled under pressure and depression in the hamster wheel for a lifetime and had to support their families with a small income. A week after retirement came the stroke - and is that supposed to be it?"
At the same time, the video premiere is the kickoff for the extensive release tour that Radio Havanna will embark on in the coming weeks, taking them to all corners of the country and many festivals. The band will present their new album "Alerta", which combines fist-pumping songs and social engagement!
