Die Oralapostel are the four guys from Karlsruhe who have searched for and found each other. After constant back and forth, high drummer turnover, and a "near breakup," the band has been around since 2006, with the firm goal of making kid punk socially acceptable. Kid punk means being childish, having fun, and not giving a damn about what others say or think. "Klassenarbeit" is the first masterpiece of Die Oralapostel that has critics scratching their heads. Should it be liked or not? Is it "too childish and primitive"? Or is it "punk rock cynicism" at its best? Either way, Die Oralapostel have fulfilled a dream with their first studio album. Their music consists of clattering, straightforward guitar riffs that hit hard without any frills. With a sense for melody, each song somehow sticks to the brain wall. You shouldn't miss Die Oralapostel gigs, as they guarantee a great party.
