A historic day for H-BLOCKX from Münster: with "FILLIN_THE_BLANK", their first album in 14 years, the band entered the German album charts at number 3 on March 13, 2026.
This is not only the highest chart position the band has ever achieved, but also their first Top 10 placement in exactly 30 (!) years. The last time they made it was with their second album "Discover My Soul" in 1996, which reached number 7.
The band is euphoric:
"STRAIGHT_INTO_THE_CHARTS! Guys, FILLIN_THE_BLANK has just entered the album charts at number 3 (!)!! This is the highest placement in the entire history of the band. Unbelievable! Thanks to our entire team, our Blockhead family, who have filled all the BLANKS with love since summer 2025. You are the best! Oh yes, one more thing: We were never gone, but WE ARE BACK!!"
The new album was released via Solitary Man Records, the label run by DONOTS.
Alex Siedenbiedel on today's success:
"We are incredibly happy to be part of this band-historical album success with our label team around Alex Schröder. Peak chart position and best mood ever after over 30 years? This was only possible because everyone involved pulled together."
Ingo Knollmann adds:
"We DONOTS are thrilled to have catapulted the new great album 'FILLIN_THE_BLANK' by H-BLOCKX to the third winner's podium of the German album charts together with our fantastic team and label Solitary Man Records. In a challenging chart week, it has once again shown that handmade sports guitar music still holds great value for people out there - and that honest songs, simple ideas, and a lot of passion are ultimately the most sustainable! Congratulations, Henning, Tinte, Gudze, and Steddy! You played the 90s in 2026!"
Currently, H-BLOCKX are on a release tour, which ends today with a sold-out concert at Kassablanca in Jena. In the summer, the band will perform at numerous festivals, and more headline dates will be announced soon.
