Since their founding in 2001, ITCHY has stood for energetic songs with great melodies and a clear stance. Without a large marketing machine, but with over 1,000 concerts, a loyal fanbase, and unbridled forward momentum, the trio is now considered one of the most influential punk rock bands in Germany. 2026 will be entirely in the spotlight of 25 years of band history.
Despite the long history, ITCHY has never stood still. Instead of nostalgia, a strong drive forward still dominates today - and so, to celebrate the anniversary, there is no best-of, but new ideas.
"Tribute Song" (release date 27.02.26) is a homage to music that accompanies us in our various life situations and can be both a blessing and a curse. Singer & bassist Panzer describes the creation as follows:
“A catchy tune that has been haunting me for ages is ‘Where Is My Mind?’ by the Pixies. Every day, when I listen to, read, or watch the news, I have this line in my head, because with all the madness that happens to everyone in the world every day, I increasingly feel like I’m slowly losing my mind. So the song is a tribute to this great song, which sometimes drives me a little crazy as well.”
