Up! is a song about what is happening in our city and in every single city we have ever been to.
It’s about witnessing how the integral components of our communities are trampled on by people who would rather step over the corpses of their neighbors than look them in the eye.
The inspiration for the song came when I was standing by the roadside staring at a sign that read "Affordable Self Storage" and, in light of the irony, I wondered how many people in the vicinity of that place can’t even afford a storage unit. It’s a song written with swollen eyes and tightly clenched fists as the tide rises to our lips.
The album "Pretty Pleased" will be released in two versions on LP (Black/Purple)
