Illegale Farben extend a warm invitation to retreat. “Möwen” is the fourth single from the album “Monte Fiasko” and is released just before the album release on 23.02.24.
A blue-dim pop number with a foundation of NDW and post-punk. It’s about disappearing, about exhaustion. “The night is almost over,” but the thoughts still swirl and the crises have not diminished.
With the exception that one had to fight through the whole night for their sake. Only escape can help now. For that, one needs accomplices, and in this case, Stefanie Schrank supports on vocals and various keyboard instruments and synthesizers. Stefanie also plays in the Cologne indie institution Locas in Love and has already released a remarkable solo album and several singles. Together, they sneak forward in this distant piece, which doesn’t even shy away from the use of a lonely trumpet.
Monte Fiasko has even more surprises in store; it’s a trip through post-punk, indie rock, and NDW, always exciting in every state of aggregation.
Tour dates:
01.03.24 Cologne, Blue Shell
14.03.24 Saarbrücken, Horst (with Joseph Boys)
15.03.24 Karlsruhe, Alte Hackerei (with Joseph Boys)
12.04.24 Erfurt, Museumskeller (with SAFI)
