What always sounds great in the living room on the band's albums sounds even better live, as the tempo comes across even more, along with the enthusiasm of the band and especially the audience. It's no surprise that the band keeps releasing live recordings.
After "Anthem," their current album released in 2022, which you can read the review of at ramtatta.de https://www.ramtatta.de/s/reviews/f/details/id/9416/, comes a nice follow-up in the form of a 3-track single in digital format.
Alongside the song classics "Drunken Lullabies" and "Raise what's left on the flag," which come in captivating live versions, the title track "Till the anarchy is restored" is a calm song. A ballad that is almost a letter...or a spoken word performance. Dave King's voice is perfectly captured here, making it very moving. The music plays softly in the background while Dave King, with his voice that perfectly fits this song, truly celebrates the piece.
"Till the anarchy is restored" is a strong song, with strong lyrics, a strong traditional folk influence, and a strong impact.
The two live songs are definitely a must for collectors and fans, and "Till the anarchy is restored" is simply rewarding. Can someone who likes folk punk pass by this release? My answer is: NO
