Fat DIY trash metal blasts from my black speakers, coming from a 3+1 (m/f) band from one of the darkest (CDU) municipalities and districts I know => Heinsberg (that's really where Germany ends, in the truest sense of the word, after that comes Holland). Musically, DOCUMENT 6 thrash in the deepest hardcore metal realms, making it a joy to listen to them on their 16-song journey of the debut album "Das 4. Reich." However, I had to take the album out of my car radio after realizing that this brutal sound made me want to push, speed, and insult!
As much as I enjoy the sound, there is unfortunately an unpleasant factor with DOCUMENT 6. I want to understand the lyrics, but the only thing I can make out from the 16 songs is "Who’s afraid of the black man" from the song "Todessehnsucht." Everything else gets drowned out in Ryu's grunting vocals. Except for the film and propaganda recordings that skillfully underscore the songs, which of course can be heard well.
There is one plus point for the appealing booklet (even though I only have it as a file) where I can at least read the lyrics. Now I know that the songs repeatedly deal with wars, fears, pain, the Holocaust, so often about dying.
By the way, the CD is available in different colors, a nice gimmick.
