KVELERTAK, the band from Norway dedicated to punk, black metal, and classic rock, is back! Their new album ENDLING will be released on September 8 via Rise Records / Petroleum Records / BMG.
On September 1, 2023, the band released the lyric video for the title track "Endling." The link to the video is as follows:

"Beginning with a guitar hook that could have been recorded at a First Avenue show during a US tour, and culminating in a Queen-like crescendo of harmonious guitar leads, 'Endling' serves as a requiem for destroyed nature and broken human destinies from our own time," says the band, providing a true insight into the song from a bird's eye view! "Trusting the silver-tongued modernity only ends in a trunk full of rage and unused wealth lying in a furrow behind you on your safe journey across the river Gjöll."
Thematically, the album connects to the critically acclaimed album Splid from 2020. Splid, praised by Stereogum, MetalSucks, Kerrang!, Revolver, Invisible Oranges, Blabbermouth, Guitar World, and many more - continues to delve into local traditions and legends, although guitarist Vidar Landa summed it up best.
"On Endling, we tell the stories of the dying and extinct men and women of Norway. Old and new myths, culture, and rituals come to life - the folklore that doesn't fit into the concept of a TV series. Vikings and trolls are something for television. This here is reality."
"As the sun set, as the oxen were untied and followed the tracks of Rasmus Vardal, the marauders of rock rode again and shouted Kielland is dead, long live Kielland!" the band exclaims.
