CLOWNS, the well-known punk rock powerhouse from Melbourne, Australia, ignites the fuse once again with their latest single "THANKS 4 NOTHING." The track marks the third release from their highly anticipated album „Endless“, which is expected to arrive on October 20 via Fat Wreck Chords.
"THANKS 4 NOTHING" is another testament to the artistic prowess of CLOWNS, featuring a distinctive touch that sets this single apart from the band's previous works.
The song, written and passionately sung by Hanny J, the talented bassist of the band, takes the listener on an auditory journey through the highs and lows of the music scene during the turbulent times of the Covid lockdown.
Hanny, the creative force behind the lyrics, describes the song as a heartfelt love letter to the music scene and its large family of fans. She says: "THANKS 4 NOTHING" is a love song to the music scene and our family; it encapsulates how the Covid lockdown seemed to create a crazy juxtaposition of government-mandated, isolation-induced madness with new collective energy, new ideas, and a newfound appreciation for what we have and what we will become.
Accompanying the release of THANKS 4 NOTHING is a music video that offers a glimpse into the life of CLOWNS during their recent European tour, showcasing the band's lifestyle and documenting some of their biggest shows to date. The video was edited by the talented filmmaker Tom Brown, who skillfully weaves together the electrifying outdoor performances and the antics behind the scenes.
