"The Dead Baron" is the first video single from the new LETO album "Life and Death", which will be released on November 17, 2023, via Rookie Records/Indigo/The Orchard.

The four Hamburg-based musicians make a strong statement with the first sign of life from their third studio album.
"The Dead Baron" is the hardest song and embodies the extremes of "Life and Death" on both a musical and lyrical level. From an autobiographical perspective, "The Dead Baron" addresses, on one hand, structural advantages due to naming and, on the other hand, the simultaneous discrimination and prejudices that people experience in school, job, or housing searches.
As throughout the entire album, Leto returns to their (already crumbling) own doorstep with "The Dead Baron", reflecting, observing, wanting to raise awareness, and making the seemingly silent riding of privileges a bit more audible. For this, they scream their souls out.
The video was produced by Julius Dettmer, who was also responsible for the entire artwork of the album. The music was produced by Kristian Kühl, recorded at Toolhouse Studio in Rotenburg a.d. Fulda, and mixed at Ton 13 Studio in Hamburg. Hauke Albrecht handled the mastering.
With the first single, the pre-sale of "Life and Death" also begins. The album will be released on LP (100x limited colored exclusively through the band, 400x black) and digitally.
On November 24, 2023, Leto will celebrate their album release show at Molotow, Hamburg.
