It may be the tricky seventh year that 100 Kilo Herz has been together as a band, but there is no sign of a "relationship crisis" in 2023. On the contrary: The Leipzig musicians, who have long found their niche with their sound mixture of rocking guitars, always forward-driving drums, and choral-arranged brass instruments, will release their third album "Back Home" later this year.
The new album is now available for pre-order!
Before it arrives on September 1st, the first single, "Station 30," is already out.

With their first single from the new album Back Home, 100 Kilo Herz has taken on a “pain theme.” Station 30 talks about the exhausting everyday life in care, the overburdening of staff in clinics, who themselves fall short behind their patients. “No one comes out of here alive,” the Leipzig band paints a rather bleak future – if nothing changes. As usual, they press directly into the wound; the times for flowery embellishments are long gone.
Urgently & Balkan-pop sounding, the brass instruments typical of 100 Kilo Herz underscore the serious theme, with the trumpet not letting go of its listeners and setting the tone for drums and guitars. The band remains true to itself and builds anticipation with their first single release for what is still to come musically.
In summer and autumn, the punk sextet will embark on a major tour through Germany, with stops also in Austria.
