Films about subcultures are becoming increasingly common, and punk has not been left out in recent times. However, a film is now coming out that traces the life story of an individual who is not entirely unknown in the history of punk. "The Future Is Unwritten - Joe Strummer" portrays the founding member of The Clash four years after his death with previously unseen material beyond the myths and legends that surround him. Director Julien Temple has drawn on all his experience, which he has gathered in his documentaries about the Sex Pistols, the Rolling Stones, and the Glastonbury Festival.
A preview of the film will be shown on May 23 at 8:30 PM at the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin in the presence of the director. Afterwards, there will be a Clash party in the Wednesday Lounge, where cinema visitors have free entry. More information can be found at http://www.strummer-derfilm.de/
