"Team Tyson believes that the capitalist logic of exploitation can really go fuck itself.
Or: The lament about the senselessness of regulated wage labor in the consumer hamster wheel, which must not be missing in any punk rock opus."
TEAM TYSON continues on their "IS THIS IT?" long player right where they briefly stopped after their third album Baumarkt due to the pandemic – and with what a bang. As if there had never been a break, the mix of older US-HC, Deutschpunk, and NDW (with waveringly variable parts) is stirred into an explosive chemical compound for attacks on the 4th ALBUM. Musical C4. Fire in the hole! Caution, firearm! So old and still so angry? Minute bangers with one-liner lyrics like "Buy Yourself Happy" alternate with longer pieces featuring catchy guitar melodies like in "Is This It?". Pop gems like "Liefern" powerfully switch with (now new!) off-kilter punk bouncers in the Off! style like "What Time Is It". With "Hey Carola", we even get swept through the living room by a genuine pig organ blues rocker! What was that? Sounded good! And apparently, they have even turned to tight D-beats, as can be clearly heard in "A Perfect Pair". The songs form a small auditory kaleidoscope of the last decades of punk rock in a tastefully spat-out visage. 20 minutes of joy and energy.
