Shortly after announcing their new album and accompanying tour dates, ARCHITECTS have just released their new single "deep fake" via Epitaph.
The song is the opener of their highly anticipated new studio album "the classic symptoms of a broken spirit". It is a pulsating and bombastic album with a rave-rock intro that culminates in a whirlwind of pure hard rock riffs.

After the anthemic teaser “when we were young”, which has already been streamed over 10 million times to date, and the second album precursor “tear gas”, the pure power of the third pre-released song once again shows why ARCHITECTS are among the most successful rock acts of the current decade.
"the classic symptoms of a broken spirit" will be the band's 10th studio album and follows last year's critically acclaimed UK number 1 album "For Those That Wish To Exist".
The band had little time to celebrate this special success extensively, as they began writing the songs that make up the upcoming successor early on. Production took place at Deacon's Middle Farm Studios and their own headquarters, the Electric Studios in Brighton, with drummer Dan Searle and guitarist Josh Middleton responsible, additionally supported by frontman Sam Carter.
The band was glad to finally be back together in one room, as their last album had to be mostly recorded from a distance due to COVID restrictions. The result is overall "freer, more playful, and more spontaneous," explains drummer and songwriter Dan.
The album is an energetic bundle of electronic and industrial-sounding moments that define the cinematic mood of the 11 tracks. There are more than a few casual references to the band's post-rock influences, garnished with now-familiar anthems like “when we were young” or “tear gas”, which sent many fists skyward. “Anything is possible – wake up the unstoppable.”
