Off-beats, brass arrangements, Ooooh-choirs, and something about the beach and beer - it's clear: With "Unten am Strand," the next feel-good summer hit comes from Drei Meter Feldweg. The first critics are already wrinkling their noses and rolling their eyes at this point:
Do they really have to sing about this again? Aren't they supposed to be grown up by now? Are they still pulling the same antics?
That's exactly what Drei Meter Feldweg asks right at the beginning of the song and comes to the conclusion: Well, someone has to do it! After all, what would a festival summer be without a summer hit? And don't we all desperately need that? Drei Meter Feldweg invites us with their first single from the new album DURAK (release date: 26.08.2022 via Dackelton Records / Broken Silence) to do the same as the band, leave the stressful everyday life behind, and just live in the moment, even if it might only be temporary:
Come, visit us if you want!
Musically, "Unten am Strand" is energetic punk rock with the use of brass, but without drifting too much into ska-punk. For the brass section, Drei Meter Feldweg borrowed Claas and Flecki from 100 Kilo Herz, who also contributed a solo.
