After playing their thousandth concert in 2005, Extrabreit singer Kai "Havaii" Schlasse must have thought about what else there is in life besides music. In these reflections, he may have recalled his past life, and so he set out to put these thoughts on paper. The result is a Rock 'n' Roll novel from the provinces, as the subtitle of his work titled after the first Extrabreit single "Hart wie Marmelade" suggests. Since his literary debut has been available for just under 20 euros since March 21, Kai Havaii is now touring the country with readings to whet the appetite for experiencing music in written form.
