A new song by Biffy Clyro is and remains an event, which is underscored by the fact that their new track "A Hunger In Your Haunt" premiered on September 21, 2021, as the "Hottest Record" on BBC Radio 1. After the Scots recently announced their new project "The Myth of the Happily Ever After" along with the lead track "Unknown Male 01," "A Hunger In Your Haunt" is the first official single from the upcoming work, which will be released on October 22. Recorded DIY-style at home in Scotland, the album is a reaction to their UK #1 album "A Celebration Of Endings" (2020, DE #4) and at the same time an immediate emotional response to the upheavals of the past year.

"The riff for 'A Hunger In Your Haunt' had been swirling in my head for a while," reports singer/guitarist Simon Neil about the creative process. "It is an expression of pure frustration. Last year there were moments when I just wanted to scream my soul out. I didn’t know where to put myself, and for a while, I could hardly muster the energy to get out of bed. This song is a wake-up call to myself. You have to ignite a fire in your belly, rise up, and take action because no one will do it for you. It’s a kind of mantra of self-motivation."
