The musician from Atlanta, CURTIS HARDING, announces his new studio album "If Words Were Flowers" on ANTI- Records for November 5th!
In parallel, he released his new single "Can’t Hide It" along with a captivating music video on September 9, 2021.

Directed by Michele Civetta, the US actors Omar Dorsey (Queen Sugar) and Anthony Mackie (Captain America, The Hurt Locker) appear as hosts of the fictional 70's TV show "The Velvet Touch", where Curtis performs his single live:
As a source of inspiration for his new album, Curtis cites his mother, who told him in childhood: "Give me my flowers while I'm still here." It was a phrase that stayed in the talented singer and multi-instrumentalist's mind over the years, a reminder to show his love and appreciation for the people who matter to him before it's too late. "That's what this album is about," Harding reflects. "I'm giving the world my flowers, to everyone who needs to hear what these songs have to say right now."
"If Words Were Flowers," written and recorded over the past two turbulent years, is a vibrant, intoxicating bouquet that is as diverse as it is colorful. The songs, drawing on vintage soul, R&B, hip-hop, garage rock, and psychedelia, are raw and dark, driven by airy grooves, powerful horns, and adventurous production by Harding and his frequent collaborator Sam Cohen (Kevin Morby, Benjamin Booker).
"Nina Simone said it is an artist's job to reflect the times," explains Harding. "I think it's important to live in the moment. When you do that and are honest and vulnerable, you can reach the people who need to be reached."
For his 2017 album "Face Your Fear," Harding also teamed up with Cohen and was supported by super producer Danger Mouse. The record earned Harding performances with all sorts of people from Jack White to Lenny Kravitz, secured him festival slots at Newport Folk, Lollapalooza, Haldern, etc., and achieved over 60 million streams on Spotify alone.
NPR declared the album one of the best R&B releases of the year and called Harding a "gifted, gospel-tinged shouter and deep digger in the Curtis Mayfield/Stevie Wonder box," while The Times described it as "soul of a truly visceral kind," and Madame Figaro raved: "Under the guidance of Danger Mouse, Curtis Harding delivers a load of soul that mixes, swings, and is simultaneously electrifying and electronic." The track "On And On" from the album was also recently featured in the closing scene of the finale of the Marvel Studios miniseries "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" on Disney+.
