The British singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone has made quite a splash with her first two singles "Deep End" and "Falling Asleep At The Wheel". Her new song "Overkill" was released on June 26, 2020. An EP is in the works.
"A good reminder of how well-crafted pop music works," wrote the New York Times in March 2020 about Holly Humberstone's second single "Falling Asleep At The Wheel". The song became a veritable hit and significantly increased interest in the young artist from the UK. Her new single "Overkill" was eagerly anticipated. The accompanying music video was filmed by Holly's sister during quarantine.

With her first single "Deep End" in tow, Holly Humberstone played eight shows at the beginning of the year as the opening act for Lewis Capaldi. This included a performance in front of 12,000 attendees at the London Wembley Arena. The perfect springboard for the 20-year-old musician: the subsequent single "Falling Asleep At The Wheel" became a hit. When NME recently asked her to describe her sound, the artist replied, "somewhere between Phoebe Bridgers and Lorde". So definitely on the darker side of pop. That she has a knack for strong melodies and good lyrics is once again proven by Holly Humberstone on "Overkill". Currently, the Brit is working on her first EP in an old country house where she grew up.
