In the Unterfranken district of Astheim, a district of Volkach on the Main loop, a new cultural venue has opened that aims to organize events outside the usual mainstream. On Friday, March 6, 2020, a reading will take place at Wurzelwerk featuring three authors who do not hold back in their novels. Under the title "Horror, Thrill & Suspense," M.H. Steinmetz, Elli Wintersun, and Alf Stiegler will read excerpts from their latest works in the genres of fantasy and horror.
Here is the official announcement:
The Authors
Alf Stiegler
Presentation of his new novel "Das tote Tal"
"A Twilight Zone full of secret societies, insidious technologies, and mysterious phenomena"
"Alf Stiegler was born in 1976 in Nuremberg and discovered his passion for the fantastic at an early age. Science fiction, horror, fantasy, steampunk, thriller — he is always drawn to the dark corners of these genres, which inspire his storytelling. Some of his works can be found on his author homepage www.alfstiegler.de."

Elli Wintersun
Elli Wintersun grew up in a small village in southern Germany. Even then, traditions were upheld here, along with certain expectations of how a good girl should behave. From a young age, she despised these conventions and clichés. She was fascinated by horror books and films, by the dark side of life that does not fit the polished suburban idyll, even though it can be found there.
Elli stumbled into writing by chance, or rather, by a happy coincidence. In her stories, she expresses her fantasies and dark emotions. Her readers are treated to black humor that contains a healthy dose of blood and disgust. In private, the author is a kind-hearted and tolerant person who enjoys life and entertains her surroundings with her quirky ideas. For decades, she has been working in a social profession that still brings her great joy today. Her life philosophy: The greatest happiness in life is having the freedom to always do the things you want and that define you as a person.
"Have Fun with Wintersun!"
M.H. Steinmetz
M.H. Steinmetz, born in 1965, lives and works in Rhineland-Palatinate, where he engages in medieval reenactment alongside writing, practices knife fighting, and takes on post-apocalyptic roles. Rumor has it that his zombie-like demonic inspiration came from a séance where he encountered a succubus. His penchant for backwoods stories was born in the endless expanses of the plains. The dark and bloody tales of M.H. Steinmetz can be found with various publishers and in several anthologies.
