The following recordings will be re-released:
Ltd. colour Vinyl "POLKA’S NOT DEAD" and CD ReIssue "LEGENDS NEVER DIE"
1. POLKA’S NOT DEAD LP
Ltd. col. Vinyl of the Dreadnoughts classic, available as LP for the first time since 2011 - 250 copies white vinyl with red splatter, 250 copies red vinyl with white splatter - a frenzied, power-packed mixture of punk rock and at least a dozen traditional (Eastern) European folk influences.
Video "Polka Never Dies": https://youtu.be/FzEfI72HyCY
The Dreadnoughts are less of a conventional band and more like the rowdy lobbyists for the blending of punk rock with folk, whiskey, cider, and shanties - sailors' choirs transform into Balkan beats, klezmer pogo into folk ballads, then back to fast polka and punk rock.
2. EUROPE TOUR continuing...
25.05 - London UK @ New Cross Inn
26.05 - Catton UK @ Bearded Theory Festival
... will continue in the fall...
3. LEGENDS NEVER DIE / CD ReIssue of first album!
Vancouver's Dreadnoughts take their mission of shanties, Irish melodies, and street punk very seriously - ancient Eastern European ballads and shanties meet furious, heavy punk rock. "Legends Never Die" is their first album from 2007, but with the same confidence & muscle as an experienced band at the peak of their career.
