KMPFSPRT used 2017 to recharge and write songs together with their new drummer Daniel Plotzki, which were then recorded like the predecessor "Intervention2" with Sebastian Blaschke. "Gaijin", KMPFSPRT's third studio album, will be released on 30.03.18 by People Like You Records. It describes the current, often subtly negative feeling of life in all its consequences: whether it's the electoral successes of the AfD, police violence, or the disinterest of a hipster generation that revolves only around itself - KMPFSPRT comment on societal reality with the directness they are known for. Despite all their uncompromisingness, they do not forget their healthy optimism. If anyone is wondering about the album title: "'Gaijin' is the Japanese word for 'outsider', which can also be translated as 'person from outside'", explains the band. A term that guitarist David Schumann often heard during his time in Japan and which is meant in solidarity with those who are socially marginalized. In the lyrics to the song "Schwarz", it says, for example: "Wherever it goes, we are Gaijin". With the title and album, they invite anyone who is currently unsure of where they actually belong but has a positive goal in mind and longs for less hate and boundaries, even in people's minds.
