Unfortunately, the event cannot take place this coming Saturday due to flooding on the site. No suitable alternative location has been found on such short notice. The money for the tickets will be refunded to the visitors.

Dear friends,
we have just received some very sad news. The Kölner Jugendpark is currently being flooded by a flood that will make any event on the site impossible starting tomorrow. Where the stage and audience area are, there will be standing water on Saturday. Since necessary escape routes and the fire department access are flooded, it is also out of the question to hold an event with up to 3,000 people here for safety reasons. Consequently, the city had to revoke our permit. It is simply too dangerous… For context: A flood in June has only occurred in the Jugendpark for the second time in 40 years. So we really hit the jackpot – NOT!
So what to do? We have, of course, thought about an alternative location and checked the few options available. Unfortunately, we are talking about a place that must be suitable for at least 2,500 people and can be approved for this number of people in such a short time. In Cologne, that leaves only the large concert halls: On one hand, they are booked or unplayable for us for other reasons, and on the other hand, we found it somewhat uncharming to lock you in the dark for an entire day, especially since the weather looks quite good for next Saturday. We didn’t want a compromise, no “almost as nice as planned” event. Since a rescheduling with the complete line-up is also not possible, we find it pointless not to take back the tickets, and in the end, you won’t be able to hear the bands you paid for. In short: We wanted to show you our dream bands at our dream location. Less is simply not enough for us!
So, with a heavy heart, we are left with no choice but to cancel the At The B-Sites Festival 2016, which we have passionately worked on with many people for over six months! It is – as mentioned – heartbreaking…
The most important question for you is understandably how the ticket refund process works. Quite simply: Those who purchased online will receive the full amount including all fees refunded to their account. Depending on the ticket provider, this may take a few days, but it will definitely happen. Those who bought hard tickets in the shops in Cologne can return them at the bar "die wohngemeinschaft" in Cologne. Here, you may also get any advance sale fees refunded. We thank you for trusting us and the concept of the "Silent Festival" with your numerous ticket purchases. That it is all the more heartbreaking is something we’ve already acknowledged, right?
For all the helpers who distributed flyers, put up posters, or supported us in any other way, we will hold a helper party as soon as the initial frustration has subsided. Your support has been amazing, and you will hear from us – we won’t forget anyone. And we certainly won’t let ourselves be discouraged in our idea of launching the world’s first Silent Festival. 2017 will also have summer again, and before that, there’s still our small but fine At The B-Sites series at secret locations in Cologne. We remain true to ourselves and hope you will remain true to us as well.
We will hear from each other,
Your ATBS Team
