Throughout today, I will tackle the second part of the server migration. All content from this site will be transferred from the Scram server to the new, dedicated p-u-n-k.de home. This afternoon or evening, I will first shut down the database to prevent any new entries from being added that could be lost during the work. Therefore, the site will be completely unavailable for an estimated (and hopefully not longer than) one to two hours. Afterwards, it will be accessible exclusively via the domain http://p-u-n-k.de. All links to musik.scram.de will lead to dead ends. If you still have such a link on your homepage, please change it as soon as possible. Also, inform other webmasters so they can update their links. And if there are any issues after the migration, please contact me with a detailed description.
Update:
I deactivated the site on the scram.de server at 5:41 PM, and it went live under the p-u-n-k.de domain at 5:55 PM. Just under a quarter of an hour of downtime, significantly less than feared. Of course, that was only the time needed to migrate the database with a total of 88,405 rows. The 646 MP3s totaling over 1.85 GB of storage have already been transferred, along with the remaining 1,800 files and images.
Everything should now function smoothly. If not, let me know. And if you run a homepage where you still link to musik.scram.de, please change that. Also, alert other webmasters that they need to adjust their links or provide me with the pages that have old links.
Update 17.09:
The mail service mail.p-u-n-k.de has been under massive spammer attacks since yesterday. This has overloaded the mail server, and emails are currently neither being received nor can they be sent. In the worst case, I may have to set up the mailing system anew. However, this would mean that all emails that have accumulated since yesterday would be irretrievably lost. I hope to avoid that, but it may be necessary to reactivate the service.
