Sensational chart result for one of the most monumental rock albums of all time: The LED ZEPPELIN masterpiece "Physical Graffiti" catapulted itself into the Top 5 of the German charts this week – at number 4! This re-release has entered higher than the vinyl original did upon its initial release in 1975 (#17)! Moreover, the remastered edition achieved the best chart entry in Germany compared to the entire European market!
Exactly 40 years ago, in March 1975, "Physical Graffiti" debuted at number 1 on the US charts, having already reached the top position in England a few weeks earlier. In the USA alone, it has been certified 16 times Platinum!
With this great chart entry, "Physical Graffiti" continues the series of high-ranking re-issues from LED ZEPPELIN. The remastered album "Led Zeppelin IV" has already made its way into the Top 5, and the albums "Led Zeppelin I-III" as well as "Houses Of The Holy" managed to jump into the Top 20. Recently, the series was awarded the "Reissue Of The Year“ award by Classic Rock!
Like the previous LED ZEPPELIN re-issues, "Physical Graffiti" is also equipped with an additional companion disc full of unreleased studio outtakes that shed new light on the studio creation process. "Physical Graffiti" is available in several formats – from the simple remaster on double CD, vinyl, and download to the expanded editions, all the way to an opulently designed Super Deluxe Box.
