With influences ranging from Depeche Mode to The Cure and Kraftwerk, the German exceptional band AND ONE has won the hearts of all Electro-Pop fans with much love and energy. With over 1 million records sold worldwide and more than 2 decades of packed concert halls, AND ONE undoubtedly belongs to the heavyweight class of the electronic alternative scene. AND ONE captivates the masses, as recently happened at the M‘era Luna Festival 2014, where they headlined in front of 25,000 enthusiastic guests.
According to NDR, which broadcast the spectacle live to 1.2 million music fans, the Berlin quartet is the "least gloomy representative of the dark scene." A few hammer blows later, they smoothly entered the official Media Control Charts at #2 with their new album “Magnet,” only topped by Helene Fischer! Their recipe for success: 80s synthpop in a new shine! However, the album was just one of 3 new works that AND ONE released on the same day. “Trilogie 1” marks the new, most successful chapter of the band so far. Three albums that could hardly be more different. And “Focus” praises them with “Melancholic great mass”!
The charismatic singer and full-blooded entertainer Steve Naghavi resembles an entertaining mix of Dave Gahan, Louis de Funès, and Robbie Williams in one person. In an instant, he flips the switch, and facial expressions, music, and mood change abruptly and surprisingly. Like no other, he masters the balancing act between gentle moments with goosebumps guarantee and the machine sounds in party mode served on their unmistakable synthpop power bass. And with his cheeky remarks between scene hits like “Techno Man,” “Sometimes,” or “Military Fashion Show,” the popular frontman always has the laughs on his side with his “dark humor.”
An AND ONE concert can last up to 4 1/2 hours, as recently seen at the sold-out finale in the Berlin Columbiahalle as part of their “AND ONE - FOREVER TOUR,” where they unleashed their pounding machines on the fans, who celebrated their heroes like a family in good “Black Generation” tradition. They design their setlists from city to city as differently as no other band in the industry. A proud 101 different songs within just one tour impressively document this record. Therefore, it is definitely worth visiting more than one city. No concert is like the other.
“TRILOGIE SUPERSHOW 1” now opens the doors to a completely new level! Currently, Nico, Joke, Rick, and Steve are working in their new Lichtenberg rehearsal room on completely new versions of almost all known, indestructible classics and building new massive sound structures for the best songs of “Trilogie 1.” Alongside new unusual visual effects and stylistic devices, there will even be some truly astonishing surprise moments in the flow. Every few years, this band redefines itself. 2015 will be such a year again.
