ROCKY VOTOLATO released his new album on April 17, 2015, through Glitterhouse Records.
"Hospital Handshakes" was produced by Chris Walla (Death Cab for Cutie) at Hall of Justice Studio in Seattle. In the same room where he produced one of his most successful albums, Suicide Medicine, in 2003.
While he previously toured in Europe solo, as a duo with his brother Cody (The Blood Brothers), or as part of the "Revival Tour" (including Chuck Ragan), he will now tour for the first time with a full band. Musically, he imbues the result of self-discovery with more than just a glimmer of hope: “I’m writing about trauma. A lot of the material I’m working with is dark and scary, but I know there is light and healing coming through in the process, and I hope that will show up in the music as well.”
