2CELLOS rock furiously with their own style in the YouTube world
The two exceptional cellists Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser once again successfully break down the walls between classical, pop, and rock on their third album "Celloverse".
2CELLOS, regarded worldwide as the most furious and dynamic instrumental duo, return on January 30, 2015, with their new album "Celloverse" (Portrait/Sony Music). The CD is at the center of a world tour that will take them to Germany for four concerts in June after stops in Australia and the USA.
The Croatian cellists Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, who became internationally known in 2011 when their version of Michael Jackson's hit "Smooth Criminal" created a sensation with over 20 million views on YouTube, turn once again to their roots in rock music on their third album "Celloverse".
The album is a testament to the unique ability of 2CELLOS to reinvent current and classic rock/pop songs. It begins with "The Trooper Overture", which combines the styles of metal and classical: the megahit "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden with Rossini's overture to the opera "William Tell". The album also features arrangements of the AC/DC hit "Thunderstruck" (the clip has over 30 million views), "I Will Wait" by Mumford & Sons, Michael Jackson's "They Don’t Care About Us", and "Wake Me Up", the megahit by Avicii. The latest music video from Celloverse, "Shape of My Heart", is their version of the song by Sting. Additionally, the Paul McCartney classic "Live and Let Die" features pianist Lang Lang as a guest star, along with the title track composed and arranged by 2CELLOS themselves.

"In terms of arrangement and design, playing style, and sound, this is our most ambitious album," says Sulic. "We can’t wait to present it to our fans around the globe."
Since every performance is also a visual experience, 2CELLOS produce a music video for each track on the album. The deluxe edition of "Celloverse" includes seven of their most popular clips, including two live performances from sold-out concert halls in their home country of Croatia.

2CELLOS have torn down the barriers between different music genres with their style, whether it’s classical and film music or pop and rock. They know no boundaries in concerts and captivate their audience not only when they play Bach and Vivaldi but also when they really rock out. Wherever they perform in the world, their concerts are sold out. They have performed alongside Sir Elton John as members of his band and have opened his shows to thunderous applause. "We play with unbridled power and energy and have a direct connection to the audience – you simply have to experience us live!" says Stjepan Hauser.
2CELLOS are the first instrumentalists to appear in the US television series Glee. They have also made appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show, and the Bachelor Live Wedding Special.
Their debut album "2CELLOS" and the album "IN2ITION" are available from Sony Music Masterworks.
