It comes almost exactly forty years to the day after its original release on February 24, 1975: LED ZEPPELIN's legendary double album "Physical Graffiti", which is still regarded by fans and critics as one of the best double albums of all time. In any case, it is the most powerful album that Page, Plant, Jones, and Bonham have ever recorded, featuring monumental works like "Kashmir" and "Trampled Under Foot" that remain unmatched to this day.
In 2015, the series of spectacular reissues of all LED ZEPPELIN studio albums continues. On February 20, 2015, the sixth LED ZEPPELIN album will be released as usual in several configurations and with a Companion Disc full of outtakes. The previous re-releases of the first five albums have already achieved worldwide success, landing in the Top 10 charts in many countries. In Germany, all previously released remastered versions entered the Top 10 or Top 15, with the album Led Zeppelin IV even reaching number 5! Recently, the series was awarded the "Reissue Of The Year“ award by Classic Rock.
Also, "Physical Graffiti" was personally remastered by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page and includes on the Companion Disc previously unreleased outtakes that are directly related to the album's creation story.

In the USA alone, "Physical Graffiti" was certified 16 times platinum, and in the UK it immediately shot to number 1 upon release. "Physical Graffiti" was the first album released on the band's own label Swan Song and describes a tour de force through the high-caliber abilities of LED ZEPPELIN. Among the songs are relentlessly driving rockers like "Custard Pie", the Eastern-influenced Kashmir, and the hard-funky "Trampled Under Foot", as well as sensitively arranged acoustic pieces like "Bron-Yr-Aur-Stomp".

The accompanying Companion Disc of the Deluxe Edition of "Physical Graffiti" contains seven unreleased tracks and versions, including rough mixes of "In My Time Of Dying" and "Houses Of The Holy" as well as an early mix of "Trampled Under Foot", which is titled "Brandy & Coke" here. All alternative versions allow fans to hear the familiar songs from a new perspective, such as the Sunset Sound mix of "Boogie With Stu" or "Driving Through Kashmir", which presents the 8-minute opus "Kashmir" in a raw orchestral mix. Also on the Companion Disc: "Everybody Makes It Through", a remarkably different early version of "In The Light", which also has different lyrics.
John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, and Robert Plant founded LED ZEPPELIN in 1968. In the following years, the band became one of the most influential, innovative, and with over 300 million albums sold worldwide, one of the most successful bands in rock music. The band evolved from the ashes of the Yardbirds after Page brought Plant, Bonham, and Jones together for a tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, their first album, titled Led Zeppelin, marked the beginning of a 12-year triumph through rock history. LED ZEPPELIN quickly gained a reputation as the greatest and most innovative rock band in the world. Their songs remain among the most celebrated pieces in the history of rock 'n' roll and continue to inspire young and old fans around the globe.
LED ZEPPELIN are still honored for their key role in music history. In 1995, they were inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, in 2005 they received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for their lifetime work, and the following year they were honored in Stockholm with the Polar Music Prize. In 2007, founding members Jones, Page, and Plant, along with Jason Bonham, the son of John Bonham, took the stage at the O2 Arena in London to headline a concert in honor of Ahmet Ertegun, a close friend of the band and founder of Atlantic Records. In 2012, the band was recognized at the Kennedy Center Honors for their contribution to American culture. After multiple gold and platinum awards, including in Germany, LED ZEPPELIN received the "Lifetime Achievement Award“ at the ECHO 2013 for their lifetime work. In January 2014, they finally won their first Grammy in the Best Rock Album category for the album "Celebration Day", which references their live performance at the Ertegun tribute concert.
