The Archive of Youth Cultures Publishing House is planning a new book edition: "Hirnkost."
In this edition, young people will primarily have their say: "We are looking for angry, visionary, euphoric, engaged essays on the topic of youth(cultures) from people under 30," states our call. Literary texts are also welcome: "Whether cool stories, angry raps, or avant-garde poetry – there are no restrictive guidelines." To finance this bold project, we have launched a "Startnext" campaign today. Until December 30, you can support the project there. The proceeds will mainly benefit the young authors of the future series: "Each published work will be rewarded with 500 euros." As a "thank you," supporters will receive book packages, graffiti discovery tours, and many more original items – including the opportunity to host events with the publishing house's authors. Among those available for "auction" on Startnext are Vorarlberg Literature Prize winner André Pilz, Oldenburg author Jörg Ueberall, whose publishing title "Swing Kids" will be released in a completely revised edition in March 2015, and punk and "Perry Rhodan" editor Klaus N. Frick. Even the publishing house's head, Klaus Farin, is involved.
