Singer/songwriter Tim Vantol doesn’t go to the basement for laughs – and yet, over time, it has become one of his favorite retreats in his house in his new adopted home of Germany. To spend even more time in the small, dark but incredibly cozy space, the native Dutchman, together with his father, built a small studio in the basement, creating the perfect atmosphere for an intimate acoustic EP.
"I want my friends and fans to hear some of the songs from my current album just as I wrote them and how I play them at my solo shows – back to basics, just my guitar and me," explains Tim Vantol about the background of his Basement EP.
A total of five songs made it into the session – four of them tracks from his latest album "If We Go Down, We Will Go Together," which was originally recorded with a full band.
The Tim Vantol Basement Session will be released digitally only and will be available everywhere starting October 17.
