35 years after the official end of the band, three LED ZEPPELIN albums have made it into the Top 20 of the German album charts this week! As part of the spectacular re-release of all LED ZEPPELIN albums, on May 30, the highly acclaimed albums Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II, and Led Zeppelin III were released with additional, previously unreleased audio material. The first album, Led Zeppelin, immediately catapulted to number 11 on the charts, closely followed by Led Zeppelin II and III, which occupy positions 16 and 18, respectively. And this is over 40 years after the original release of the albums!
All three albums were personally remixed by guitarist, founding member, and producer Jimmy Page and underwent a thorough yet sensitive renewal based on the old original tapes. They were also supplemented with plenty of additional material: Led Zeppelin I includes a previously unreleased live recording of a performance in Paris in 1969, while Led Zeppelin II and III were enhanced with also previously unreleased studio outtakes and demo recordings that hold some surprises even for connoisseurs.
And this is just the beginning. Over the next few months, all LED ZEPPELIN albums will be released in perfect sound and with a wealth of unknown material! All albums will be released in a deluxe edition as well as in several CD and vinyl formats – and of course also as a download!
