The fourth album of the infernal Bavaria/California skatepunk collaboration led by Enfant Terrible Samuel L - once again a dozen skatecore hits, after an intermezzo with acoustic songs in 2013, now fully back in the hardcore/thrashpunk genre.
The band had yet another line-up change, now with Mickey Porter on guitar... a veteran of the North California/Oakland/Bay Area punk/hardcore scene, he has played in countless bands and toured with them across all countries.
Immediately after Mickey joined, Scheisse Minnelli dove into new songs... 12 of them are on this album, others will come soon...
The songs on this album have something like a concept and overarching theme, the exiled American Sam L sings about his status as a crazy alien here in Germany and his (partly nightmarish) memories of his Californian homeland.
"Sorry State Of Mind" is not really a concept album, but the division into "Hessian Nightmares" / Side A and "California Dreams" / Side B (a slightly sarcastic use of the word "Dream") gives a small impression of what this record is about.
The album was recorded live with the whole band in a small room, no headphones, no overdubs, all amps on 10 - old school thrashpunk/skatecore in the footsteps of RKL, Verbal Abuse, Poison Idea, etc... in super sound attire.

"Having Mikey on board just took everything to a new level. Cause Mikey and I grew up in the Cali-Punk scene starting in the 80s. Mikey earlier than me cause his older brother was bass-player for DRI ... his guitar style mixed with the tight rhythm of Dash and Dudel was all we needed for new killer songs. We all wrote together. It is truly a big mix of riffs and ideas from all four of us....listen to the three others recording it live all in one little room ... with amps and drums in the same room, no headphones... I was blown away....Fuck! They killed it!"
