The ZERO BOYS also have a new record in the works. On May 20, the new work, titled "Monkey," will be released via 1-2-3-4-Go! Records. One can be quite curious whether "Monkey" will be fantastic or if the guys will end up making fools of themselves, considering the release of their last opus was a whole 20 years ago. The video for the song "Third Strike" already suggests that the gentlemen from Indianapolis might not be as wild nowadays as they were back in the 1982 classic "Vicious Circle." "Third Strike" feels more like a mix of late FLESHEATERS and today's D.O.A., rather than the furious punk or almost rock-like hardcore songs like "Civilization's Dying." Nevertheless, this song is worth a listen, even if what is offered (compared to the hits of the first album) is somewhat different. Let's wait and see what the remaining tracks bring. I just wonder why the cover monkey looks so sad...
