BANE says goodbye, but not quietly and secretly, rather with a loud and fierce album – as befits one of the most important US hardcore bands of recent years. With "Don’t Wait Up," the band throws all their pent-up anger and frustration into the mix before they finally bid farewell to the stage in 2015. What will definitely remain is a worthy legacy and the message of the importance of unity, honesty, and having a heart for the good cause.
In times when bands release new albums almost every year, it’s refreshing to take a step back. It's actually remarkable that the best example of a band achieving the maximum possible with minimal musical output comes from the bustling hardcore scene, which thrives on seven-inches and short, punchy songs.
