A Pony Named Olga on Tour

Don't be misled by the stand-up bass, hairdos, horn glasses, tattoos, or cheeky mustaches: THIS IS NOT A ROCKABILLY BAND! Too dirty for swing dancing, too loud for small talk in front of the stage. A PONY NAMED OLGA has saddled up for a bizarre hell ride through polka, punk, country, metal, and rock’n’ roll. Lyrically, they also prefer it crazy, bitterly sarcastic, and darkly humorous. Heini Heimpel with his raspy yet beautiful vocals and jangly guitar, Luscious Lloyd, whose bass stunts often end up in the ambulance, and Stephan Fleck on drums form the trio terrible that hardly knows how to rein it in live. The band has now played hundreds of shows in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Poland, France, and the Czech Republic, was invited to the South By Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas in March 2014, and will then tour the USA for 3 weeks. Their 4th album, "The Black Album," will be released in April 2014 and will be celebrated with a Record Release Party on April 9th at the Bassy Cowboy Club.
