This year, there will be a new edition of the Francomusique Tour.
WHAT IS FRANCOMUSIQUE ????
French-speaking music is currently in high demand in Germany. Artists like Zaz, Yelle, Nolwenn Leroy, Stromae, and Sexion d’Assaut are bringing the language of Molière to music lovers all over the world. Is language a musical obstacle? Does language set musical boundaries? Do some of your favorite artists sing in a foreign language? The FrancoMusiques Tour presents the most exciting French acts: Don't miss the new Brel, the new Gainsbourg, or the new Zaz!
For the past 6 years, Cornelsen (textbook publisher) and bureauexport (the export office for French music) have released an annual Francomusiques sampler, which has found its way into classrooms across Germany through French teachers – is there a better way to learn another language than through music? The Francomusique Tour is therefore a logical step to experience language live.
The initiators of FrancoMusiques:
Institut français // bureauexport Berlin // Cornelsen Verlag // Sacem
We would be happy to provide the sampler for review if interested.

Info about BURIDANE:
Initially performing alone with her guitar in Lyon and the surrounding area, then already as a duo, and finally on tour as a full band. Buridane, who has played over 200 concerts and received various awards, takes every opportunity to develop her music and her extraordinary style.
Buridane sensitively narrates both the more trivial and the more serious, violent moments in her life, which often blend into one another. She tirelessly seeks the right nuance, the right tone. It is not easy to say whether the title “Le Serment” is about physical or emotional violence, or whether “Jusqu’òù petite” tells of an unwanted pregnancy or a serious illness... Even the seemingly cheerful single “Badaboum” is, according to Buridane, about a rather questionable enthusiasm.
After Buridane found her balance between music and content, all that was left was to record the album. The first crucial step in this direction was certainly her meeting with “La Bonne Equipe.” A year later, she decided to collaborate with Pierre Jaconelli, which she felt was an enlightenment, not because he had worked with Benjamin Biolay, but because he understood, as she said, what the main thing was.
So now she stands at the center, accompanied by a sparkling guitar and her musicians, who subtly underline her crystal-clear voice as she whispers profound, gentle, and bitter stories into our ears. This is all Buridane and reflects a maturity that she has undeniably gained throughout her artistic career. Buridane was also inspired in her self-discovery as an artist by the philosopher Buridane and his parable of the interrelationships of will and intellect...
Info about ASKEHOUG
?...fine chamber punk with nonsense and irony.” (Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung)
Caution! Askehoug – with a K – is the name of the band. The musician's name is Matthieu Aschehoug – with a CH! Many consider him to be – to put it mildly – a bit crazy! The free thinker responds that his art is simply a special form of poetry, which he encountered in his search for beauty.
In any case, no one can easily outdo the Frenchman when it comes to self-irony and quirky poetry! He named his last album “Je te tuerai un jeudi” (I will kill you on a Thursday). A quirky form of love declaration!
He is often compared to Alain Bashung, the Beastie Boys, or Arthur H. However, the singer with the distinctive mustache has developed his own, unmistakable style. With a deep voice, stunning spoken word, and a lot of joy in experimentation, the singer-songwriter delivers poetic, sometimes slightly risqué, and sometimes very serious lyrics, embedded in a rock-jazz chanson. Or is it more chanson-like rock?
Whatever the genre may be called: Matthieu Aschehoug, who accompanies himself on guitar and piano, is supported in his project by Niko “le K” on drums and James Sindatry on double bass. The trio achieves a rhythmically refined sound, where charming lightness and lasting pressure are in balance. This was also appreciated by the jury members, who awarded the album the “Prix Georges Moustaki 2013.”
Askehoug has proven their live qualities on both small and large stages. The unusual performance has so far been able to seduce every audience, which can be verified on the FrancoMusiques Live! Tour.
