Since 2010, Splitter has been around, but only now does his music surface through the Hamburg music label Finaltune Records. His discography now includes three albums (Splitter, Grenzenlos, and Lost at Sea) and two EPs, which will be available in all digital shops starting today. The fourth album, titled "Thea," will be released at the end of October as the first official CD release on Finaltune.
Splitter is the stage name of 19-year-old Benjamin Sievers, born in Bremen. His music has an electronic touch and conveys a sense of freedom and weightlessness that one might only find in film scores. The mostly instrumental tracks hover somewhere between bands like Boards of Canada and Arms & Sleepers, telling a kind of story that emotionally captivates the listener. Those who enjoy ambient, electronic, and experimental music will find great joy in Splitter.
To discover Splitter, his current EP "Himmelsfenster" is available for free download at finaltune.com/splitter.
