BACKSLIDE NEW ALBUM OUT NOW!

Ladies and Gentlemen: BACKSLIDE are back! The band, founded in 1998 in Freiburg, which has already released several recordings and played countless festival and club shows across Europe, returns almost exactly ten years after their last release "Terror Age"! With their brand new album, BACKSLIDE impressively demonstrates that they have been anything but inactive during this time. The four guys, now reinforced by Marsen Angler (Ex-FEAR MY THOUGHTS, PIGEON TOE, LONG DISTANCE CALLING), deliver an extremely convincing performance here. BACKSLIDE, who were highly successful in their early days in the streetpunk scene, present "A Dark And Blackened Night" with twelve melodic songs that hardly fit into conventional categories. A distinctive high-proof cocktail of punk, rock, sleaze, and indie, which occasionally reminds one of bands like ALKALINE TRIO, BACKYARD BABIES, or even the FOO FIGHTERS. Not least, the brutal production, which was created in the hallowed halls of the Sportstudio by Philipp Rauenbusch (Ex-REAMONN) and mixed by the southern German metal guru Christoph Brandes, sets the bar quite high and does not need to hide behind international formats. The new album is now released on Concrete Jungle Records as a CD and digital download.
