Artizan: Ancestral Energy - LP Release

On June 28, 2013, the album "Ancestral Energy" by ARTIZAN will also be released on LP. The exclusive vinyl edition includes 500 copies (100 red and 400 black) and comes in a gatefold package. The LPs will all be delivered with an A3 poster. The red LPs come with an additional patch as a special bonus. Pre-sales begin on June 14, 2013.

With their debut “Curse of the Artizan,” Artizan achieved a surprise success two years ago and quickly won the hearts of all metal fans who still prioritize melodies, great riffs, and creativity over image. Catchy, yet never superficial tracks, playful but never complex, embedded in a natural production and carried by the fascinating voice of singer Tom Braden – this is what characterized “Curse of the Artizan.”

And yes, exactly these attributes and a few more are, as hoped, also present in the eagerly awaited second work “Ancestral Energy.” Stylistically, everything remains the same, but since stagnation means death, “Ancestral Energy” is anything but a mere copy of the debut and comes with some surprises. The great melodies sound even more refined and captivating, the arrangements are tighter yet pleasantly playful, and the variable drumming of Ty Tammeus stands out refreshingly from the competition. Songs like the opener “I Am the Storm,” “Deep Ocean Dreams,” or the already released single “The Death of Me” immediately catch the ear, revealing new nuances with each listen, ensuring no signs of wear and tear. With the monumental title track, which also features a highly successful guest contribution from ex-Iced Earth singer Matt Barlow, Artizan has created their little masterpiece and skillfully consolidates all their strengths for the finale.
Artizan also demonstrates how production should be done! “Ancestral Energy” was produced beautifully authentically and naturally, yet powerfully and balanced. This is how melodic metal should sound in 2013!

Our steel will not be forged any better this year!
